Hi everyone. Alison and Michael here. Giordanna - great story! To answer the question posed by Dennis, we are presenting another set of charts from one of our little guys.

These are more of Evan's charts. We posted an example of his Hear/Say Postvocalic fluency chart earlier. We have attached Evan's Hear/Say sentences chart and his Free/Say Words in Context chart. All of these data were collected by Evan's in-home therapists, who are trained by us. Below are the results of an independent language evaluation completed by a Speech Language Pathologist who does not work with us.

We began work with Evan when he was 31 months old (last July). He carries a diagnosis of Autism (299.00). When we started with Evan he had no intact speech. He produced sounds (approximately three animal sounds, and other unintelligible sounds).

So, as you can see from the charts, he went from producing no words to producing approximately 10 words per minute across a ten minute sample (all non prompted and non repeated words) across approximately 4 months. This language sample was collected during free play time in his home, in the evenings (usually). The Free/Say Words in Context chart was our first attempt at learning Statview.

Evan's Hear/Say Words chart shows that he goes from 2 word phrases in August to a cumulative review of 3, 4, and 5 word phrases in November.

We also have language evaluation data from another toddler (Anna). Let us know if you would like those sent over the LISTSERV as well.

Hope you enjoy the charts as much as we do!
