The performer on these charts is my daughter, Emma Wainwright, age 7, born 4/8/94 and diagnosed with autism at age 3. From 3 to 6 years of age Emma received OT, Speech, Discrete Trial Training and attended Early Intervention.

In September 2000 Emma started Fluency-Based Instruction for Learners with Autism under the guidance of Fabrizio/Moors Consulting. When Emma started the program she could imitate a few sounds. Emma has advanced to Pre and Post Vocalic sounds.

The first chart covers Hear/Say Post Vocalic (Fluency) (because we do timed instruction). Starting in January 2001 with one set /b/ VC sounds and ending at the end of April when TSS services stopped. The dots on the lowest cycle of the chart represent the number of timings that day. The record above the 1 line is the one-minute timings (best score) on a mixture of the sounds presented so far.
Chart of Emma's Post Vocalic Sounds

Starting the week of 3/18/01, the number of days per week practiced and timed became inconsistent and so did Emma's performance.

The second chart is a continuation of the same slice starting June 2001. This chart is the beginning of my running Emma's program and becoming her therapist. I shared these charts because they are an excellent example of how Precision Teaching and the Standard Celeration chart make it possible to SEE a learner's performance and make decisions that will lead to the msot efficient learning possible.

This second chart shows the consistency and quantity of the number of days per week practiced directly effected the consistency and quality of number of corrects and errors per minute.
